VINTAGE METALLIC DRESS FROM BEACON'S CLOSET / BDG DENIM TIGER EMBROIDERED JACKET / ANN-SOFIE BACK EARRINGS FROM VFILES / CONVERSE CHUCK TAYLORS
my first pair of chucks were classic black low tops. i kicked a lot of middle-school ass in those shoes. they're beat up beyond belief, but they're the only pair that's stuck with me into this decade, and still ass-kicking today. unlike basically everything else in my wardrobe, converse have staying power; that effortlessly cool, rock and roll spirit that make any outfit seem easy. the one sneak that gets better with age.
for their latest collection, converse designed chucks with a worn-in look that suggest months of moshing, but don't smell like it. in my favorite pair, i teamed up with refinery 29 and headed to boston to check out desert sharks, the men, and METZ at rubber tracks live. and it rocked, hard.
as for the fashun, i wanted to go full monochrome; pair the silver studded chucks with the silver dress and silver sparkly socks and silver hoops and call it a shiny silvery day. but, alas, the cold front in boston required an additional layer, so without a silver topper, i decided to go with the denim tiger – cuz, you know, sneakers definitely would. u like?
